Duration: 2 years (renewable)
Job Purpose
Under the general supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the incumbent is to drive official vehicles and be responsible for vehicle maintenance, safety of passengers, road users and ensure the security of goods transported.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Drives office vehicles for transporting of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items
• Meets officials at the Airport and facilitate Immigration / Customs formalities
• Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, checks oil, water, battery, brakes, tires etc.. reports promptly to the Supervisor any defects/faults on the vehicle, performs minor repairs and arranges for other repair and ensures that the vehicles is kep clean, ensures safety and custody of vehicles including tools, etc. on it.
• Perform any other duties as required
Qualification Required & Experience
Education:
• High School diploma
• Professional Drivers License
• Knowledge of driving rules and regulations
• Knowledge of auto mechanics as an asset
Work Experience
• Five years continuous safe driving as a professional driver
Language Proficiency
• Fluency in English required. Another UN language being an asset
