Job Vacancy For EDGE Coordinator

We work in partnership with IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, on IFC's EDGE Green Building Programme (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) which includes work on mandatory green building codes and the launch of the simple, affordable EDGE voluntary certification programme (see www.edgebuildings.com).
In the framework of our collaboration agreement with IFC and thinkstep on EDGE Green Building Programme. SGS is seeking a dynamic and sales-oriented person to join its winning team and to expand its EDGE Green Building Certification services for Ghana and Nigeria.
Reporting Line: The incumbent shall report to the Operations Manager - Field and Consultancy
The Role:
• The EDGE Product Leader will help launch the EDGE programme in Ghana and Nigeria and potentially one or more other location.
Main Responsibilities:
The suitable candidate will be performing the following roles:
• Together with the EHS Business Manager, develop the sales of EDGE certification
• Be the driving force of the EDGE Business Plan and suggest continuous improvements
• Work in close partnership with the EDGE Consultant from IFC Ghana to raise awareness of EDGE with public and private sectors,
• Meet with client and prospects, identify early EDGE certification adopters among commercial and residential developers, industry organizations and other stakeholders
• Prepare or assist in preparation of EDGE Audit proposals
• Support and participate to the EDGE verification audits
• Provide 'EDGE Expert' , training in the use of the EDGE App
• Drive events that will be part of the launch process in terms of certification delivery, marketing, or other aspect of SGS business.
• Prepare the business quarterly reporting to IFC
• Ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
• Provide all inputs to the back office staff to prepare invoices.
• Follow in practice, SGS- QHSE policy, code of ethics all the time
Qualification Required & Experience
• Minimum of first degree in a related field of study (e.g Building Technology, Business Administration, Environmental Science).
• Demonstrated experience in the Construction sector, for example as an Architect, Developer, Financier of Residential or Commercial real estate projects, or Programme Manager in environmentally related non-governmental organization.
• Experience with the green Construction sector and ability to forge relationships with Real Estate stakeholders in relevant markets.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and project management skills.
• Self-confident, self-starter with demonstrated ability to work and take decisions independently when necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal, writing skills.
• Spoken and written fluency in English
• Demonstrated experience in Sales and/or Public speaking is a plus.
• Proficiency in French and/or local languages is a plus.
