The RESPONSIBILITIES of the Electrical Supervisor shall include but not limited to the following:

•   Monitor the work of electrical technicians and provide guidance as needed.
•   Ensure quality work, compliance with ECG requirements, electrical codes and adherence to safety regulations
•   Inspect completed installations and assist with electrical system installation, and repair as needed
•   Testing electrical installations to ensure compliance wirh specifications, codes, and client requirements (Earthing System ECG complaint)
•   Assist the Electrical team in problem-solving and troubleshooting
•   Assist in making schedules, assigning work and training electrical technicians
•   Motivate electricians to increase their productivity and meet work goals, ensure projects arc completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
•   Ensure the proper maintenance of plants & equipment
•   Designing electrical systems and circuits, as well as contributing to improved designs
•   Assist in designing layout of electric power distribution lines and Transformer stations
•   Ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards
•   Assist in the purchase of quality electrical materials and supplies per specifications
•   Ensure adequate inventory of electrical materials in stock at all times
•   Keep records of electrical operations, evaluating, approving payments and other administrative duties.
•   Support the Estate management maintenance team with technical advice
•   Help in the identification of faults and attend to electrical faults
•   Ensure proper maintenance nf switch boards, power supply points, main breakers, ECG Power source serving the Estate, Site and factories
•   Help in the installation of new plants, electrical machines and equipment
•   Perform any other duties as assigned.

The candidates shall possess the following TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

•   General knowledge in following areas: electrical systems, power distribution, control circuits, transformers and residential wiring.
•   Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical facilities, components and systems for domestic and industrial purposes.
•   Technical drawings and specifications of electrical systems, installation and operations conforming to ECG standards, electrical codes and client requirements
•   Knowledge in various Plant & machine operations and manipulations
•   Electrical knowledge and use of Electrical power tools and equipment

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND Electrical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering Technician (EET – Level II or III), or City & Guilds – Electrical Technician Diploma (Level 3)
•   Minimum of 3 years field experience in residential, commercial, or industrial production and construction.
•   ECG / Energy Commission certification is a plus
