Job Summary

•   Participate in environmental monitoring activities;
•   Provide support in the management of the integrated waste management facility to ensure waste are stored correctly, treated and disposed off according to company procedure;
•   Calibrate and maintain field water monitoring equipment e.g. TSS, pH, conductivity, Dissolved oxygen and TDS meters;
•   Participate in non water monitoring Conduct;
•   Ensure proper keeping of environmental data;
•   Participate in spill response and control procedure;
•   Ensure good housekeeping at both workplaces and offices;
•   Assist in the investigation of community complaints;
•   Provide support to all other department including contractors to comply with the waste management program.
•   Collect field data on water, air and dust;
•   Respond to all intended and unintended spills/discharges by collecting samples for analysis;
•   Report all field environmental deviations as soon as possible

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Environmental certificate from a recognised institution;
•   Minimum of 2 years environmental management experience working in the mining or related industry;
•   Good organizational skills;
•   Assertive with excellent attention to details;
•   Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel;
•   Good command over English both written and oral;
•   Experience in environmental report writing.
