A leading integrated agro-industrial company is looking to recruit an ESTATE MANAGER

•   This is a key role that will manage 4500 hectare of Oil Palm Plantation.
•   The successful candidate must have previous experience working in a similar role and be confident communicating with the internal departments, suppliers and subsidiaries within the group

Primary Objective
Manage  effectively and efficiently the 4500 hectare oil palm plantation in the Kwae Estate while ensuring compliance with RSPO/EHS principles and standards.

Key Responsibilities

•   Plan and co-ordinate harvesting systems schedule
•   Organise and control Fresh Fruit Bunches collection system
•   Plan and co-ordinate maintenance practices in the estate
•   Plan and coordinate land clearing, planting and replanting when new developments take place
•   Supervise oil palm nursery operations
•   Implement integrated pest and disease management plan
•   Implement road maintenance programme through collaborative effort with the General Services Department.
•   Ensure adherence to good operational standards
•   Submit weekly forecast and monthly report to the Chief Agricuftural Officer
•   Collaborate with the Health and Safety Department in order to provide relevant training and safety equipment for workers and ensure compliance with HSE SOPs and policies
•   Involved in budgeting, verification and stock monitoring of agro chemicals and other related materials

Reports to:  Chief Agricultural Officer
Duty Station: Kwae near Kade in the Eastern Region
Remuneration: An attractive package awaits successful candidates.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   University Degree( BSc Agriculture); A master's degree will be an added advantage
•   Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
•   Previous exposure to West Africa

•   Strong work ethics, excellent communication, organisational and time management skill
•   Be a strong problem solver
•   Ability to work in a high pressure environment
•   Good team leader, highly motivated and results oriented

Others

•   Must have a keen eye for detail.
•   Good knowledge in the use of computer
•   Good knowledge in oral and written English {Ability to speak TWMS an added advantage)
•   Ability to supervise and work with teams
•   Must be safety conscious
