Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for appointments as: Estimators in a leading roofing systems and metal trusses manufacturing company in Ghana with specialization in providing roofing to individual homeowners, private and public sector property developers, high street retailers and building merchants. The company is located in Accra with Branch offices in Takoradi, Kumasi and tamale.

Objective of the Position

•   Producing accurate and high quality quotations from drawings and bills of quantity type customer enquiries

Key Responsibilities

•   Visit job sites and estimate job costs and submit quotes for review
•   Understand all processes of the job from acquisition to fulfilment
•   Work directly with the estimation department to achieve set targets
•   Report directly to the Head of Estimation
•   Work directly and develop relationships with owners, contractors and project managers
•   Additional duties as assigned
•   Submit monthly feedback into management system

Qualification Required & Experience

•   HND Building Technology with a minimum of 3 years working experience

OR

•   University Degree in Quantity Surveying or related disciplines with at least 5 years of working experience

OR

•   CTC I, II, III

Skills and Competencies

•   Working knowledge of mechanical drawings with ability to read blue prints / specifications and plans
•   High level of problem-solving ability with a string emphasis on managing difficult clients
•   Prior estimating experience in the commercial roofing industry
•   Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
•   Ability to handle a lot of duties with minimal supervision

•   Superior communication and time management skills
