We are an Agro-processing company with a state-of-the-art processing factory located in the Central Region. We have vacancy for:- Factory Manager (Reporting to the General Manager)

The Person

•   Highly motivated, physically and mentally tough and scientifically inquisitive
•   Must be keen in living and working in the rural area

The Job

Leading a Production team of Shift Supervisors, Quality Assurance Officer and Engineers to process perishable farm produce to ever-demanding EU standards of Quality, Safety and Hygiene with zero-waste

•   Must be passionate at implementing a regime of Plant Maintenance
•   Must drive passionately Key Performance Indicators (KPS's) for Productivity and Quality
•   Must be keen on training and developing individuals
•   Must maintain high standards of discipline in the factory
•   Must champion the Environmental, Health and Safety Standards across the company.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc (Food Science or Biochemistry or Brewing or Engineering)
•   MSc (Production, Agriculture)

Experience

•   Minimum 3 years in similar position,or 5 years as head of Production, Quality Assurance in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry
•   Minimum 5 years of shift work
•   Had worked in aHACCP-certified environment
•   Has been fimiliar with programmeable logic control in manufacturing
•   Has strong contacts at the Research institutions, Food & Drugs Authority, Ghana Standards Authority and the Utility Companies.
•   Has been involved in a project involving an investment of not less than $500,000.00
•   Has ever managed a work force of not less than 30
