The Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana is the professional accountancy body established by an Act of Parliament to regulate accountancy and audit practice in Ghana.

ICAG is a body corporate established by law, which among others, regulates the practice of Accountancy in the country, including certifying persons who can practise as auditors. It is committed to strengthening the accountancy profession, improving support for members and safeguarding public interest.

Job Summary

This role is part of the senior management team. The successful candidate will manage finance team and the Central Support teams. The institute is implementing its 2015 -2020 strategy for growth, quality of service, improvement in relevance in the Ghana economy and the sub Saharan Africa. The role is a strategic senior post to support the Chief Executive Officer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•   Manage the smooth running of the finance functions
•   Ensure effective financial planning and Reporting
•   Manage the Central Support teams
•   Support the directors with the relevant KPI's to aid key business decision making lead on  the  budgeting,  forecasting and  financial strategy
•   Ensure compliance with statutory obligation
•   Liaise with Internal and External parties
•   Develop and maintain good practice  systems and controls

Remuneration: Very competitive and commensurate with demands of the position

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Qualified Accountant with minimum of  5 years post qualification experience
•   A member of the Institute in good standing is an advantage
•   Experience at a senior management level,  with a minimum of two (2) years as director or equivalent.
•   A post graduate qualification an advantage
•   Attention to detail with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•   Good ICT Skills
