Job Description
• Responsible for the establishment of LCs with banks for cargo/ vessel transactions.
• Operate an efficient accounting system capable of documenting all company’s transactions and generating timely and reliable management reports. Also ensure that the accounting systems in use are regularly updated to accommodate business expansion and developments
• Integrate all the systems to ensure the fastest banking of all the receivables
• Prepare, monitor and plan Funds flow & Cash Flow and provide various MIS highlighting monthly position of Cost Centres, Profit Centres and segmental reporting with analysis.
• Responsible for the preparation of External Financial reports of PWSL-BDC in the prescribed format that meets the minimum requirement of relevant regulatory authorities and other stakeholders
• Monitor Marketing sales targets and maintain their Commissions, Special Commission, Lease Rental, Deficits, etc.
• Assist in the external/internal audit process in order that Financial Statements and Tax Returns are reviewed and approved in line with Ghanaian laws and regulations.
• Liaising with third parties including Auditors and Tax consultant.
• Periodic Management reports - Prepare prompt and accurate management reports to support effective management decision making. Policies and procedures must be maintained to ensure the integrity and timeliness of reports.
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register and reconciliation of the balances in the register to the relevant accounts in the General ledger.
• Conduct physical asset verification exercise at least annually, reconcile the result of the exercise to the Fixed Asset register.
• Quarterly Balance sheet schedules - Preparation of quarterly support schedules for all Balance sheet accounts in the General ledger, except Bank and Cash account balances.
• Responsible for preparing special reports required by management and regulatory authorities.
• Constantly exploring with the financial institutions for providing new & efficient products.

Qualification Required & Experience
• Masters Degree or its equivalent plus a Professional Certificate in Accounting, preferably ACCA or its equivalent.
• Experience in downstream oil industry, Bulk Distribution Company (BDC), will be an advantage
