Scope and General Purpose:

•   To assist the Manager, Finance & Administration to run the Finance Department of the Hotel.
•   The job entails General Ledger Accounts, accounts supervision, inventory management, cash & Bank activities, Fixed asset accounting, Bills Payable and General Accounts Supervision.

Key Performance Areas:

•   Review accounting transaction, coding and classification and posting in the financial ledgers.
•   Perform General Ledger Reconciliations  total Balance sheet review monthly.
•   Assist the Manager, Finance & Adm. in the delivery of the total finance function of the Hotel.
•   Supervise Bank reconciliations and follow up on reconciliation differences.
•   Supervise the accounts staff in such areas as stocks/Inventory, fixed assets, accounting & disposal, Bills Payable, credit control and general office cash and Bank.
•   Ensure accurate posting in the financial ledgers. Assist the
•   Manager Finance & Adm. in running and delivering statutory financial reports and accounts to management and the Board on timely basis.
•   Ensure full discharge of the accounting function in accordance with relevant financial laws, laid-down financial procedures and processes of the Hotel.
•   Cash flow planning and weekly preparation of cash forecast.
•   Assist Manager Finance & Adm. to prepare departmental P&L for the Hotel on a monthly fashion and highlight key result areas.
•   Oversee monthly stock counts and issue of stock reports as well as highlight of stock variances.
•   Perform periodic income reconciliation and ensure full accounting for income, expenses, and advances among others.
•   Assist in the preparation of the Hotel annual budget.
•   Any other duties that will be assigned by the supervisor from to time. .

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of First Degree in Accounting/Finance/BCom plus
•   Part III of ACCA/ICA
•   At least Five (5) to Ten (10) years working experience in Finance/Accounting.
•   Age: 28 - 40 years
