Keegan Resources Ghana Ltd. ("KRGl") is a fully-owned subsidiary ofAsanko Gold Inc., a company which is building the Asanko Gold Mine, Ghana's next gold mine. The vision ofAsanko is to become a mid-tier gold mining company that maximizes value for all stakeholders.
Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
• Receives, registers, seeks approval, and processes invoices for payment;
• Supervises the tracking, identification and recording of all cash in-flows of the company;
• Coordinates and supervises bullion shipment documentation and procedures;
• Deals with all intercompany transactions;
• Files VAT and withholding taxes to GRA;
• Ensures insurance payments are effected;
• Coordinates and ensures the daily management of the company's cash and bank resources, ensuring that financial and operational controls are in order.
• Prepares monthly reconciliation statements of accounts;
• Assigns duties to and monitors activities of immediate team members to ensure achievement of performance targets.
• Identifies training needs of immediate team members and organises or recommends appropriate training;
• Perform any other related duties assigned from time to time by supervisor.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bsc/Bcom Accounting/Finance or relevant qualification from a recognised tertiary institution;
• Membership of an Accountancy body (ACCA, ICA GH, CIMA) is a significant advantage;
• Minimum of four (4) years' post qualification work experience in a similar position in the Mining or related industry;
• Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills;
• Must be a team player;
• Must be Honest with strong integrity;
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, database management;
• Valid Ghanaian driving license
