Key Accountabilities:

Support Sales Manager

•  Provide account data to the NCBC Sales Manager for developing a sales plan and monitoring its implementation.

Leadership    

•  Leadership of a virtual account team to meet targets for profitability and revenues.

Ensure strategies/plans are in place for accounts  

•  Develop contact strategies and account development plans (ADP) for each of the named accounts.

Manage sales process    

•  Develop a pipeline of prospects which are systematically qualified, managing the decision-making process within named accounts to ensure sales prospects are closed.

Map NCBC value propositions to fill identified gaps of named accounts    

•  Exercise thought leadership at Board level within the named accounts, demonstrating an understanding of the business strategies and communications dependencies of the customer; presenting the compelling value proposition of NCBC Sales.

Input into development needs of self and virtual team    

•  Identify sales training and development needs and manage skills enhancement for self and the virtual account team.

Ensure all systems are updated    

•  Ensure any systems such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) or SFA (Sales Field-Force Automation) are keep updated to increase the professionalism of account management.

Assure quality throughout sales process    

•  Full integration of quality management processes within all sales activities for the namted accounts, ensuring effective deployment on a day-to-day basis.

Ensure achievement of KPIs    

•  Use relevant metrics and measures to routinely monitor progress against targets and take appropriate action to ensure targets are met or exceeded.

Provision of timely sales data    

•  Provide sales performance data to support management decision-making.

Legal and Regulatory    

•  Ensure full compliance with telecommunications licence provisions, sector regulations and competition laws.

Relationship Management    

•  Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external suppliers.

Qualification Required & Experience    

•  Business studies degree or equivalent
•  3 years’ experience of telecommunications sales account management in an enterprise solutions environment
•  Consultative-based selling skills
•  Contribute to the NCBC sales strategy and decision-making processes, providing relevant inputs.
•  Detailed understanding of the enterprise solutions needs of the Ghana’s Telecommunications sector.
•  Ability to exercise "thought leadership" throughout NCBC and customer organisations.
•  Self motivated and self starting, with the resilience to drive sales opportunities through to their final successful conclusion.
•  A solid commercial understanding of how NCBC products can be applied to create commercial value in customer businesses.
•  Ability to effectively represent NCBC.
•  Ability to lead and manage a corporate account team, motivating others to achieve targets.
•  Analytical thinker who can plan/execute action to exploit sales opportunities.
•  Ability to understand the needs of employees and to apply best practice people management techniques to ensure a motivated and productive work force.
•  Ability to present compelling business cases for capital investment in enterprise solutions.
•  Utmost professional integrity
