The Role of the Human Resource Officer:

•  Responsible for the co-ordination of all recording and verification in the balance sheet account reconciliation process and fixed asset control
•  Prepare and maintain up-to-date accounts using the prescribed accounting software
•  Prepare monthly general ledger account balance reconciliations including reconciliation of both local currency and Forex bank accounts
•  Ensure all general ledger accounts are properly headed and classified in the appropriate fund's balance sheet
•  Reconcile the movement of all gaming proceeds
•  Keep abreast of and advise management on changes in local accounting regulations
•  Prepare and maintain payroll and submit timely PAYE, and other mandatory payments
•  Prepare and maintain VAT account and submit monthly returns which are in agreement with the up-to-date general ledger and records (if applicable)
•  Prepare all accounts in time for a quarterly audit
•  Code and process fixed assets and related fixed asset journal entries in accordance with accounting policies
•  Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual fixed asset reports including general ledger reconciliations, roll-forward schedules, additions, disposals and depreciation expense
•  Assess all accounting documents and ensure that they are correct for the purpose of posting to the account
•  Maintain all accounting source documents in an orderly fashion
•  Keep the Manager in charge of Administration informed of all pertinent information regarding financial reports
•  Effectively prioritise workload in order to accomplish most urgent tasks first

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Must be a qualified accountant from a recognized institution with a minimum of 2 years working experience
•  Must be able to multitask and organise
