Job Summary:
Position Summary:
The accounting teacher is responsible for providing professional training in accounting to staff of ProCredit in accordance with the institution’s training philosophy and objectives. He/she will, in consultation with management, and in line with the standards of the ProCredit group, design the schedule, content and teaching methodology of the institution’s accounting training programme and guide selected staff to acquire relevant accounting knowledge and skills for their work.
• Teach selected staff business-oriented accounting and related subjects according to a prescribed textbook.
• Organise frequent pre-tests to serve as a basis for training content and methodology, and post-tests for review of same.
• Provide regularly to management, assessment of course participants
• Carry out standard testing after each course.
• Write monthly reports on all teaching and related activities.
• Relate accounting knowledge to the operations of the institution and provide technical support to other departments when necessary.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Instruct and monitor staffs in use of accounting learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support accounting instruction.
• Should be able to teach to the understanding of accounting beginners.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must be available for full-time teaching Monday-Friday as well as some selected Saturdays.
• A university degree in Accounting (additional qualification in Education and ACCA will be an advantage)
• At least two years teaching/training experience.
• Very good knowledge of accounting applications in MS Excel.
• Ability to relate accounting to Business.
• Experience in adult teaching/training will be an advantage.
• Excellent organization and coordination skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
