Job Title: Assistant Director of Audit

Job Purpose

•   Provide inputs for the development and implementation of policies, strategic, annual, operational and other plans of the service.
•   Prepare draft Annual Audit Plans
•   Supervise the implementation of programmes and activities
•   Prepare draft Notes for the Auditor-General's reports,
•   Provide inputs for the development of audit guidelines and methodologies
•   Review and evaluate the system of internal controls and assess their effectiveness
•   Supervise the implementation of audit guidelines and metholodies
•   Prepare draft Annual activity report
•   Prepare draft periodic progress reports
•   Provide inputs for the preparation of the Annual Budget
•   Appraise the performance of immediate subordinate staff

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A member of the ICA(GH) or a professionally recognised accounting body
•   A relevant bachelor's degree from an accredited tertiary institution
•   A minimum of nine (9) years post qualification with relevant working experience in accounting or auditing, four (4) years of which must be in a management position in a reputable organisation

•   Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
•   Communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
•   Knowledge in auditing standards

•   Knowledge of relevant computer applications
