Job Vacancy For Assistant Estate Officer At University of Education (Winneba)
The University: On May 14, 2004 the University of Education Act, Act 672 was enacted to upgrade the status of the University College of Education of Winneba to the status of a full University. The University of Education, Winneba was established in September, 1992 as a University College under PNDC Law 322. University of Education, Winneba brought together seven diploma awarding institutions located in different towns under one umbrella institution. Currently the University has three campuses. The main campus is at Winneba in the Central Region, with satellite campuses at Kumasi and Ashanti Mampong in the Ashanti Region.
Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the University of Education, Winneba.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The sucessful candidate will:
• Ensure that all facilities (e.g. plumbing, electrical etc.) are in good working condition;
• Ensure that the compound of the University is neat at all times;
• Ensure that routine maintenance of facilities is promptly carried out;
• Ensure that repair works are carried out promptly;
• Maintain an assets register;
• Ensure properties meet legal and health and safety requirements;
• Draw up tenancy agreement contracts;
• Collect or organise rent payments and
• Act as a property manager and resolve any issues that arise with properties
Qualification Required & Experience
Candidate seeking appointment as Assistant Estate Officer must possess a Masters degree in Estate Management or Land Economy. In addition, candidates must:
• Have at least two (2) years relevant experience
• Be a member of a recognized professional body
• Must possess good supervisory skillls
• Have good interpersonal communication skills
• Have basic computer literacy skills
