Job Description

•   Applicant must be fluent in both spoken and written French & English
•   Translating documents from English to French
•   Acting as an interpreter in meetings when required
•   Answering phone calls in a foreign language
•   Handling foreign correspondence
•   Typing/word processing
•   Maintaining diaries/arranging appointments
•   Filing
•   Booking transport and accommodation for overseas visits/international visitors.
•   Managing databases
•   Language Proficiency in two (2) or more foreign languages will be an added advantage

Work conditions

Travel: work is generally office-based. Some roles may involve international business trips.

Working hours: usually the normal office schedule, however some unsociable hours may need to be worked from time to time if foreign visitors are being entertained and an interpreter is required.

Qualification Required & Experience

Formal academic qualification required. A degree in languages, business or management may prove advantageous. Typing, word processing and/or shorthand qualifications will be useful – a range of secretarial skills. At least two (2) years working experience with multi-nationals will be an advantage.
