Job Vacancy For Branch Managers
A reputable rural and community bank seeks to employ suitable persons to fill the following position: Branch Managers
Summary of Duties
The following constitutes, but not limited to, the roles and responsibility as a Branch Manager.
• Ensure the achievement of management-approved set targets (Deposits and Loans) for the branch
• Supervise and coordinate all activities of the branch, including general office management
• Implement policies, and internal control at the branch
• Ensure performance indicators, key risk indicators and key control systems are monitored and updated on a monthly basis to provide assurance of quality and robustness of controls
• Prepare and submit relevant reports on branch operations to management
• Decide on all operational issues within the framework of existing regulations and management decisions
• Chair the branch credit committee and participate in evaluating, approving loans according to the level of discretion, where necessary
• Develop good customer relationship and maintain contact with customers in order to ensure satisfaction
• Ensure all customers enquiries and complaints are effectively dealt with.
• Plan and initiate promotional measures within target market of the branch with support from the business development unit.
• Prospect for new business opportunities within the market and make recommendations for new products development
• Champion the deposit mobilisation efforts within the branch's area of coverage
• Perform independent balancing of all records
• Responsible for all credit generated by the branch
• Manage efficiently the company's assets entrusted in your care and account same to management from time to time
Qualification Required & Experience
• Must possess an academic (a minimum of first degree) and or a relevant professional qualification, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in the advertised position
• Must be technically-oriented, highly professional and self motivated person with analytical, creative, innovative and managerial skills
• Must possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Experience in strategy development and implementation with strong emphasis in banking operations and human relations is key requirement
• Must demonstrate excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Must possess, as a necessary requirement, demonstrate skills in marketing
• Must be computer literate with strong aptitude in modern banking applications
• Must be a practising team player with strong network links
• Experience in branch management is an obvious advantage
