Your Job:
This position bears responsibility for:

•   Understanding annual reports and accounts of insurance companies and other risk carriers, i.e. being able to assess solvency, recognising weaknesses in balance sheets, evaluating client creditworthy ess, calculating key figures and indicators relevant for (re)insurance
•   Recognising and comprehending the client's business models, strategies and value chains
•   Awareness and understanding of supervisory and accounting regulations
•   Understanding of operational, economic, political, legal and underwriting issues in the market
•   Able to recognise and understand all of a client's problems and issues, and having a thorough grasp of each one (holistic view of company's risk situation); if appropriate, deciding what expertise should be brought in for which issues
•   Having qualified knowledge of markets, knowing the company's own market position and that of the competition
•   Knowing the challenges and needs of the client and taking these into consideration in preparing solutions
•   Recognising and taking opportunities to expand and reinforce ties to internal or external clients
•   Able to develop new or alternative segmentation criteria: regularly and on own initiative;
•   querying segmentation and action plan, and initiating adjustments as required

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum formal education, work experience and competencies required for this job:
•   A Bachelor's degree in Economic Management studies
•   ACCA or equivalent qualification
•   At least 5 year's experience in the financial services sector, mainly dealing with financial analysis
•   Advanced Excel skills
•   Reinsurance experience would be an added advantage
•   Ability to work independently and within a team
