UNION Savings and Loans, the Global Banking and Finance Review’s best SME Financing company in Ghana, 2014, is looking for a Business Development Coordinator, Home Finance.

Job Description

To acquire, manage and grow asset and liability portfolios of Home Finance clients.  This responsibility must be discharged in a professional manner to achieve a high degree of client satisfaction.

Business Development

•   Implement a framework for acquiring clients.
•   Monitor developments in the housing industry and submit suitable proposals to increase market share of mortgage and home improvement assets.
•   Propose innovative products that cover the real estate cycle (land acquisition, construction, furnishing, renovations, and property conversions) to rapidly grow the market share of this product.
•   Develop and implement a detailed account/call plan to support acquisition activities.

Credit Analysis

•   Gather relevant client information for conducting good credit analysis and prepare good proposals for decision making within institutional timeframe.
•   Review processes and submit proposals to improve turnaround time and improved service delivery.
 
Portfolio Quality Management

•   Conduct regular monitoring (financial, collateral) of clients to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
•   Ensure full settlement of all disbursed credit exposures according to the repayment plans.
•   Implement all Arrears/Risk Committee (and other Management) decisions to improve portfolio quality.
•   Ensure that all post-disbursement conditions are met within the stipulated timeframe.
•   Proactively prepare and submit proposals for solving problem cases

Reporting and Presentations

•   Timely preparation and presentation of product performance reports.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Results oriented and performance driven
•   Banking experience in a high performing bank or non-bank financial institution
•   At least 2 years working experience in mortgage financing
•   Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation abilities.
•   Strong analytical skills
•   Good knowledge and skills in Microsoft applications.
•   Professional, ethical and discretion when dealing with confidential information.
•   Committed, responsible and able to work under pressure and limited time frames.
•   Good planning and organizing skills.
