Job Vacancy For Business Development Manager
Purpose of the job
• The Business Development Manager will ensure that establishment, development, expansion and structuring of new business across the companies.
• The incumbent must be a strategic and critical thinker with a proven record of success in expanding company objectives and exceeding business goals
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for identifying and pursuing new business
• Accountable and responsible for the preparation of business plans, cases for new businesses and financial analysis
• Responsible for the management of strategic partnerships
• Build market position by locating, developing, defining and closing business relationships
• Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications and announcements
• Screen potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements and financials
• Promote the company's brand to ensure it has a well recognised global brand and appeal
• Develop and support the company with marketing initiatives through various forums
• Examine risk and potential for business opportunities
• Develop processes and procedures in the unit and ensure compliance with the required standards
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master's International Business, MBA (Finance) or related field
• 7 to 10 years working experience in a similar environment, providing business development services to all companies across multiple disciplines such as financial and strategy development
• Experience in stakeholder management, communications and public relations
Knowledge, Skills & Behavioural Competencies
• Knowledge of working across organisational boundaries and disciplines
• Strong regulatory and policy acumen and experience of working with government agencies
• Ability to balance understanding of the energy regulatory environment and market design with operational insight
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to innovative, generate and prioritise new ideas / business development
• Ability to take a flexible approach and work closely within a team
• Ability to manage, develop and mentor members of the team
• Ability to manage a diverse workload with competing deadlines
• Ability to establish and maintain strong professional relationships across a brand range of internal and external parties
