AWTCL has the mission to integrate Ghanaian businesses into the worldwide alliance of World Trade Centres that provide businesses with services and facilities to make the conduct of international trade easier, faster and cheaper, leading to economic growth and prosperity.
ROLES
Key responsibilities and duties of the role
Business Development
• Identifying trendsetting ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, etc.
• Exploring, discovering and proposing potential business deals and negotiating with prospective partners and clients
• Evaluating potential business deals by analysing options and deal requirements, potential, and financials, having regard to company objectives and priorities, and advising appropriately
• Closing new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts; coordinating internal and external requirements; and integrating new business into existing operations
• Protecting the organization's business and strategies by keeping information confidential
• Keeping abreast with business trends, and informing management and staff about new ideas, developments and opportunities for furthering the business objectives of WTC Accra
Qualification Required & Experience
Essential
• Advanced degree in international trade, economics or business administration
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in international business development, marketing or consulting
Desirable
Fluency in French and other international languages
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/QUALITIES
Specific knowledge/experience/qualities required for this role
• Exceptional and an experienced sales professional, with the ability to promote events, products and services
• Passion for sales, marketing and sales planning, and meeting customer needs
• Outstanding imagination and prospecting and negotiating skills
• Energetic personality, with outstanding communication, public speaking and presentation skills
• High level professionalism and ability to work as part of a team
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
• Good IT skills, ability to learn and work with a bespoke database and proficiency in all relevant personal computer applications such as MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Attention to detail and ability to create and maintain accurate paper records.
