A leading private hospital based in Accra has a vacancy for the post of Chief Executive Office. The vision of the hospital is to operate model hospital/clinics for general and specialized healthcare delivery within the West African Sub region.

Job Summary

• The Chief Executive Officer, under the direction of the Board of the Hospital, is the clinical and Administrative Head as well as the Chief Disciplinary Officer of the company
• He/She leads the management team and the entire staff to achieve the mission, vision and objectives of the hospital

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in the development, monitoring, evaluation and implementation of clinical services in the facility in accordance with the national health policy
• Ensure that high clinical standards are met in the provision of medical services
• Facilitate the development of operational policies, systems and procedures staff
• Provide technical support in the development of clinical protocols and guidelines using a multidisciplinary team
• Prepare a strategic plan for the hospital and advocate for its implementation
• Establish and implement an effective monitoring and supervision system for the facility

Qualification Required & Experience

• The candidate must be a holder of a medical degree (MB ChB or MD) from a reputable university. In addition,he/she must have extra qualification in health services management such as Master of Arts in Health Administration and Management or MBA with emphasis in health services management or hospital administration
• The candidate must have had 5 years or more working experience in the same or similar position

The candidate must also show evidence of the following qualities

• Proven ability to provide strong visionary leadership and innovation
• Proven capacity to motivate, manage and direct staff
• Capacity to manage and control crisis situation
• Business-oriented and able to easily establish rapport between the company and other corporate bodies
• Ability to foster and promote good internal and external relations of the company
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
• Maturity and above reproach

Tenure of Office

The candidate must be able to hold office for a minimum of 5 years from the date of appointment before attaining the retirement age of 60 years

The salary and conditions of service to this position are attractive and comparable to those in similar positions in Ghana
