A progressive Rural Bank in the Central Region is seeking to employ qualified professionals / persons to fill the following position: Chief Executive Officer

Job Responsibilities

The main aim of the role is to provide strategic direction to the Bank to realise growth and profit in conjunction with the board by performing the following duties:

• Provide general direction and control for the bank
• Act as a liaison between the Board of Directors and the Operational Team
• Ensure that laws, regulations and statutory directives from the board, the Bank of Ghana and the ARB Apex Bank Ltd are complied with
• Manage the bank's products and services, investment products and customer relationship management.
• Ensure that the bank's accounting books are correctly maintained at all times in a transparent manner
• Manage the bank's human capital and maintain cordial interpersonal relationship among the staff
• Implement and ensure that internal control measures are properly followed
• Ensure performance evaluation based on set targets
• Perform any other duties as directed by the Board of Directors

Qualification Required & Experience

• First Degree in a Business related field and/or any related professional qualification. Relevant Master's Degree will be an advantage
• At least 8 years experience in banking, 4 of which must be in rural banking, preferably as a CEO
• Good knowledge of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Act 930, institutions Act 2016, interpretation of collective bargaining agreement and good people management skills
• High sense of integrity, responsibility and positive attitude towards financial management
• Good knowledge of the Bank of Ghana Prudential returns
• Good interpersonal, communication and self-management skills
