Our client is a new terminal operator as well as providing cargo support and container Inland Services with vacancy for the following position:- Chief Executive Officer

Job Summary

•   The CEO will report to the Board of Directors
•   He/She will provide leadership and direction to enable THE COMPANY achieve sustained growth
•   The incumbent will be responsible for developing and executing the strategic plan for revenue, profitability and growth of THE COMPANY
•   He/She will oversee operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources and personnel
•   Oversee the management and general operations of THE COMPANY

Job Description

•   Develop, execute and update a multi-year strategic plan to increase revenue, profitability and oranizational growth
•   Ascertain new business opportunities outside THE COMPANY's existing geographic and vertical markets
•   Initiate and close new business deals by developing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations
•   Build, develop and manage a corporate and operational senior leadership team capable of excuting desired business strategies, maintain a management personnel succession plan for all operations
•   Establish and maintain stakeholder relationships, serving as THE COMPANY's liaison for other key relationships specifically with Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA)
•   Identify internal organic growth opportunities and ensure that existing assets are being optimally utilized
•   support financial and operational objectives
•   Promote the company to local, regional, national and international constituencies
•   Review (for approval) operating summaries and detailed reports (as required) for presentation to the Board of Directors
•   Support operating initiatives for improvements in safety, quality, cost and employee relations
•   Evaluate performance of executives for compliance with established policies and objectives and contribute in attaining objectives
•   Lead and direct the processes that monitor, measure, evalute and report on performance
•   Monitor and report on industry trends, leveraging industry best practices and applying these to internal systems and processes

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Tertiary qualification in Business Administration or Finance. MBA or similar postgraduate qualification highly desirable along with port industry experience
•   General and technical understanding of port operations
•   Membership of a recognised management body
•   Minimum of ten years experience in management at senior managerial level. Exposure to and experience at a board level is desirable
•   Advanced managerial, interpersonal and leadership skills with the capacity to motivate, lead and inspire staff and external stakeholders
•   Demonstrated capacity and experience in working at strategic decision making level with superior analytical capability and communication style
•   Exceptional time management and organisational skills with a commitment to the delivery of quality business outcomes and teamwork
