AngloGold Ashanti Obuasi Gold Mine is currently on a journey to expand the Obuasi Underground Operations with a journey to total Mechanisation and introduction of Decline Mining as well as our existing Shaft operations. We are seeking qualified, experienced and self-motivated Ghanaians to apply for the following roles within the Mine Technical Services and Underground Operation Teams. Qualification Required & Experience

Summary Role Accountabilities

•   10 Years experience
•   Effectively managing a department well-resourced to support the business objectives in accordance with the Company standards, National mining regulations and best practice
•   Proper planning of the short and long term ventilation infrastructural needs of the mine
•   Preparation of annual materials and capital budgets to support the business plan
•   Coordination with Operations and Engineering in ensuring fixed plants (primary fans, refrigeration plants) are well maintained for optimum performance
•   Regulatory monitoring the underground workplace and providing technical recommendations to ensure compliance to standards and regulations and, continuity of planned work
•   Communicating effectively and promptly whenever unsafe and sub-standard conditions are uncovered
•   Ensuring that routine reports to the Mines Inspectorate and other National regulatory bodies and properly and submitted on time to meet the statutory requirements
