A leading Oil & Gas Company is looking for qualified candidates for the following positions, based in Takoradi:- Civil Engineer

Main Responsibilities

•  Overall supervision of the contractors and subcontractors regarding the implementation of all the project activities related to facilities building or revamping, ensuring respect of deadlines, cost and design. Analysis and critical evaluation of the cost / achievement ratio.
•  Assist the project management in the identification of the basic requirements needed by contractors for the proper fulfillment of the tasks assigned through his professionalism and a deep understanding of reality of Ghana.
•  support construction contractors on planning and monitors project execution
•  Provides technical support to contractors if necessary
•  Anticipates potential problem areas and analyses and recommends solutions or corrective actions, promptly informing the project management
•  Monitoring Contractor's Compliance with requirements on Safety, Health and Environmental Laws
•  Organising and supervising of the whole logistic process for the delivery of furniture, medical equipment and general equipment to the structures provided by the project
•  Provide monthly reports to the project manager on the state of implementation of the activities, cost control, deadlines observance, and including the planning for next month.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  University degree in civil engineering, nationally registered
•  Fluent in English Language (spoken and written)
•  5 years relevant experience
•  Working knowledge of the ministries and government bodies, highly desirable
•  Proven ability to work independently
•  Computer literacy
•  Good public relations and communication skills
•  Previous work experience with NGOs will be a plus
