Job Summary:

Position Summary:
ProCredit has recently launched a new training initiative called the Young Bankers Programme. For this purpose, the institution seeks a classroom assistant who shall be responsible for assisting facilitators/trainers of the Young Bankers Programme of ProCredit in accordance with the institution’s training philosophy and objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

•  Assist in the professional and social development of Young Bankers Programme participants under the direction and guidance of the Head of the Training Unit.
•  Establish constructive relationships with Young Bankers and interact with them according to their individual needs.
•  Monitor and record Young Bankers progress, achievements and responses in respect of all learning activities both at the training centre and on the job.
•  Follow-up and provide detailed feedback to facilitators/trainers and the head of Training Unit on each Young Banker’s progress, achievements and areas for future development.
•  Work to promote positive behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in accordance with ProCredit’s policies and procedures, and encourage Young Bankers to take personal responsibility for their behaviour.
•  Assist facilitators to ensure that their time and energy is best spent in a way that optimises learning for the class by creating and maintaining a supportive and well organized learning environment
•  Organize all equipment and resources for use in all relevant learning activities that are essential to the smooth running of the Young Bankers Programme.
•  Provide a range of administrative support to facilitators/trainers, including photocopying hand-outs, notes, etc.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  A university degree in Education (Social Sciences)
•  At least two years training/teaching experience. (Experience in adult teaching/training will be an advantage); experience in either the public or private education systems is acceptable.
•  Excellent practical experience in behaviour management strategies.
•  Ability to determine the training needs of young adults
•  Excellent organization and coordination skills.
•  Excellent interpersonal skills
