Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Cleaning and Sanitation Officer is to make sure that the production facility and all implements and clothing used during production of a high quality food product are kept clean and in readiness for use. The Cleaning and Sanitation Officer is responsible for the cleaning of facility and may be required to do project-related tasks, not specified in this job description, within and outside the project premises.

Key Responsibilities

•   Carry out the cleaning and sanitation master plan by following detailed instructions
•   Carry out daily cleaning of premises
•   Carry out weekly and monthly cleaning of premises
•   Clean tools, implements, and buckets used in production
•   Clean towels, production shoes and production uniforms
•   Carry out regular pest inspections of the premises
•   Complete all cleaning and pest inspection records
•   Assist the production staff in unloading raw or packaging materials upon reception
•   Assist the production staff in loading finished product upon dispatch
•   Assist the production staff in organizing raw and packaging materials in storage areas

•   Ability to work well in a team and independently
•   Commitment to high standards of cleanliness
•   Attention to detail
