Description Of Job

CARE International is recruiting candidates for an anticipated Complementary Basic Education project in Ghana.

Job Summary:
The CBES will buttress the process of pulling together a standard package of CBE materials and procedures, ensure the translation and printing of the standard package, set up feedback loops with Implementing Partners on possible tweaking of the package, and support the training of IPs, DEOs, and Master Trainers in the use of the package.

In addition the CBE Specialist will assure quality control on the use of the model, in collaboration with DEOs and IPs.

Qualification Required & Experience

Key Qualification, Skills & Competences:

•  Advanced degree in education with a focus on child centered teaching methods, teacher training, curriculum development, local language learning, or assessment.
•  A minimum of 6 years experience working in the field of complementary basic education, mother tongue education, or teacher training
•  Demonstrated ability to work with NGOs and with government agencies to review, to adjust and to refine models that support complimentary basic education.
•  Availability to travel extensively in Ghana
•  Fluency in one or more local languages would be an advantage
