Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA), a US based, non-profit research organization, that works with development partners and academic researchers to create and evaluate approaches to solving development problems, to communication what works and does not work in development, and to scale up successful projects in variety of fields, including micro-finance, agriculture, education and health, seeks a Country Director

The Ghana Country Director will oversee the research activities of the IPA Ghana Field office in the following ways:

•   Develop and implement a country office vision and strategies plan, manage external relations, oversee and initiate high-quality research
•   Ensure sound operation of the IPA Ghana Office
•   Oversee country office finance
•   Oversee the capacity building of staff and partners
•   Lead the dissemination of results to local practitioners and policy makers

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Graduate degree in afield related to international economic development
•   5 years of management experience
•   Exceptional oral and written communication skills
•   Strong quantitative skills and familiarity with randomized controlled trails
•   Experience with budgeting, project planning and new project development
•   Experience living and working in Africa
