A leading rural bank in the Ashanti Region has a vacancy for the position of a Credit Manager.

Job Purpose

• Oversee credit operations of the Bank by coordinating the activities of Credit Officers at the various agencies and drive the achievement of the bank's loan disbursement target without compromising on the quality of the bank's loan portfolio
• The successful applicant will be part of the Executive Management team and report to the Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a quality loan portfolio and adherence to the lending policies of the Bank
• Prepare monthly aging report on loan delinquency consistent with BoG requirements and ensure adequate loan provisions are made
• Develop and implement an effective loan delinquency tracking system and ensure retrieval of loans from recalcitrant members
• Audit the credit delivery process and make recommendations
• Prepare credit report and maintain proper filing of loans
• Train credit and recovery officers to be effective in their roles
• Liaise with the Business Development and Research Manager to develop new Credit products
• Ensure that existing Credit policies are reviewed from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

• Master's Degree in a Business related field, Economics, Statistics or relevant field
• Professional qualification would be an added advantage
• A minimum of 5 years experience in Credit Administration with 3 years in a leadership/managerial position
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
