A multinational IT solutions provider seeks to recruit individuals with the requisite professional competencies and experience to fill the following role: Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities

•   Implement the planning, coordination, utilization and administration of Oracle relational databases, MS-SQL relational databases, IDMS network databases, VSAM files and other file organization and access methods
•   Implement solution for requirements in billing & collection domain
•   Enforce written guidelines and standards for the overall use of database management systems
•   Participate and assist in continuous evolution of the billing road map to meet new needs/technology
•   Maintain a comprehensive and an effective system of billing and data analysis controls and recording mechanisms and make full use of the available resources as appropriate
•   Review, analyse and reconcile monitored traffic records/data with records declared by the Telecommunication Operators
•   Review and analyse the accuracy of information/data processed, identify issues and take corrective action to resolve problems
•   Ensure the integrity of data base files through the daily monitoring of database backups, logs, journals and transaction statistics
•   Oversee the proper distribution and controlled replication of data across agency processors

Qualification Required & Experience

•   BSc in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
•   At least three (3) years relevant working experience in related field
•   Ability to influence the automation of billing domain activities
•   Deep understanding of billing and its processes
•   In-depth understanding of programming languages e.g. Net Framework, Java Serm, PHP and TABS
•   Solid understanding of up-to-date architecture design concepts
•   Significant knowledge of telecom business scenarios, billing methodologies and related tools
•   Advanced knowledge of and practical experience database systems
•   Ability to investigate and diagnose problems in a wide range of database systems
•   Good knowledge/understanding of data and telecommunication systems
•   Strong analytical skills
•   Ability to handle information with utmost confidentiality
•   Strong communication and presentation skills
