A reputable private tertiary institution located in Accra and accredited by the National Accreditation Board of Ghana (NAB) seeks the services of self-motivated and qualified individuals to fill the following vacancy: Dean, Faculty of Law

Duties and Responsibilities

The Dean shall

• Provide leadership to the Faculty or School and maintain and promote the efficiency and good order of the Faculty or School
• Co-ordinate the work of the Departments within the Faculty or School
• Liaise with academic departments about a range of matters, particularly regulations and their application
• Monitor students progress and the adequacy of supervision
• Approve any interruption of students academic work
• Approve requests by faulty for leaves of absence
• Take an active role in the quality assurance of studies at the Faculty or school, chairing the Faculty board and other relevant committees and
• Advise on the postgraduate training of the Faculty's own graduates and lecturers on study leave

Qualification Required & Experience

• The candidate must be of professional status, candidates who are senior lecturers with the requisite qualification, teaching and administrative experience may also apply
• The candidate must possess a minimum of LL.M degree. A PhD degree in Law will be an added advantage. A minimum of 3 years experience in the day-to-day administration and management of a Law Department/Faculty in a Ghanaian tertiary institution also required
