Job Vacancy For Deputy Chief Executive Officer (General Services) At Ghana Tourism Authority



JOB PURPOSE

To provide strategic leadership, technical and administrative support for effective management of resources (finance, human and material) for the achievement of the mandate of the Authority

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Exercises oversight responsibility for the efficient and effective management of general services of the Authority
•   Ensures that statutory financial obligations affecting the Authority are observed
•   Ensures a strong and effective framework of corporate governance within the Authority
•   Assures and provides advice on the financial health of the Authority in relations to the policies and programmes
•   Leads in the preparation and presentation of the Authority's budget
•   Participates in all development and contract negotiations on behalf of the Authority
•   Monitors the implementation of the Authority's Annual Budget
•   Directs action on matters relating to general services submitted to the Head office by Regional Directors
•   Oversees the formulation and implementation of human resource and administrative policies, guidelines and procedures
•   Coordinate the development of medium and long term strategic plans for the Authority
•   Oversees the preparation and implementation of performance management as well as staff development policies and programmes
•   Coordinates the development and implementation strategies for resources mobilisation from both private and public sectors
•   Appraises the performance of staff of the general services department of the Authority

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A minimum of a Master's Degree from an accredited tertiary institution in any of the following fields, Social Sciences, Business Administration, Finance, Human Resource, Accounting or other relation disciplines
•   Minimum of twelve (12) years' post-qualification relevant work experience, five (5) years of which must be a Senior Management position in a reputable institution
•   Pass a selection interview
