Chemonics International Inc, a leading international consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., seeks to recruit a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for an anticipated four-year USAID/Ghana-funded program to strengthen and support the institutional and financial management capacity of governmental and non-governmental entities in Ghana’s education sector. The DCOP will serve on the senior management team and help to:

•  Oversee the monitoring and evaluation, operations, and communication components of the project.
•  Provide direction to local audit partners and finance managers.
•  Oversee the relationship with USAID and government sub-agencies.
•  Assist the Chief of Party to manage activities under all project components.
•  Foster and build a positive work environment, and motivate staff to achieve project performance goals.

Qualification Required & Experience

All applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

•  Master’s degree, 8 – 10 years of relevant experience with expertise in audit and accounting, financial management and reporting, grants-under-contract management, and project reporting and communications.
•  Experience on USAID or other donor-funded projects highly preferred. Experience working with nongovernmental organizations, national and local governments, and/or the private sector required.
•  Strong communication skills and English fluency are required
