Job Vacancy For Deputy Head of School At Morgan International Community School (Central Region)
Purpose of Job
• The Deputy Head forms part of the senior leadership team and reports directly to the Head of School.
• The Deputy Head will assist the Head of School in the supervision of personnel, human resource responsibilities, development and maintenance of school policy and procedure, and supervision for administration and educational programs.
• The Deputy Head replaces the Head of School when necessary. The DHS works in collaboration with middle management team members across the school.
Qualification Required & Experience
• minimum of a Master's Degree in Education or Administration
• appropriate certification as a school administrator
• valid teaching certificates
Experience
• demonstrated competency at senior level of management
• 3-5 years in a position of responsibility
• supervision of curriculum implementation
Special Requirements
• worked in an IB school/or understanding and experience of similar educational programs/best practices
• knowledge of IGCSE curriculum
• knowledge of WASSCE an asset
• knowledge of middle and secondary learners' needs
• able to work extensive hours

• oversee and direct the academic and extra-curricular programmes at the school
• facilitate the regular review of curriculum- both horizontally and vertically

Supervision of professional and academic support staff:

• supervise student affairs in the school including overall discipline and pastoral care
• in collaboration with the Director of Business and Operations and Boarding Manager, ensure that the "boarding experience " of students is positive and successful
Financial and infrastructure management
• able to articulate and manage the instructional budgets in the school in collaboration with programme coordinators and department heads and other staff in positions of responsibility
• able to frame needed resources to appropriately staff programmes on offer at the school
Boarding Experience
• knowledge of needs of students in boarding
Enrollment
• assist in marketing the school
• oversee the Admission process
• evaluation of student applications
• coordination with the National Examination Council and International Affiliations
• financial aid determination
• the selection of students
