For over three decades, World Vision has been working with rural communities in all the 10 Administrative Regions of Ghana to provide portable water, promote sanitation and hygiene practices, quality education, particularly at the basic level, enhance food security and respond to disasters.

World Vision Ghana (WVG) is looking for a highly qualified, proactive, motivated and resourceful person to fill the position:- Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator

Job Grade Level: HAY15

Purpose of the Position

•   To assist Area Development Programmes (ADPs) to develop and manage programs effectively through planning, monitoring & evaluation and research for high quality ministry

Major Responsibilities

•   Build technical capacity of ADP staff in the areas of –concept paper development, proposal and reports writing
•   Train ADP staff in the use of Learning through Evaluation with Accountability and Planning (LEAP) tools, templates, formats, standards and guidelines
•   Build technical capacity of ADP staff in the application of LEAP and Integrated Programming Model (IPM) tools and support the Operational Base Team Leader (OBTL) in leading ADPs in the implementation of other Global Centre initiatives
•   Support OBTL to coordinate assessments, designs/redesign, baselines, evaluations, transitions and other operational research activities of Operational Base
•   Support ADPs to develop Plan of Action to monitor the implementation of audit and evaluation recommendations, sponsorship KPIs and provide timely feedback to Project staff
•   Support ADP/Project Managements to capture essential data required for entry into Project Management Information System, and also to coordinate and provide timely feedback on review work flow processes at the Operational base level
•   Work in close collaboration with programmatic sectoral technical specialists to ensure an integrated implementation approach in the projects & programs implementation by ADP’s

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum Educational level required : First Degree in development planning/research related
•   Masters Degree preferred
•   Experience: At least three years relevant working experience
•   Other: Previous working experience in DM&E (world vision) is preferred

Other Competences/Attributes

•   Skills and experience in LEAP/DM&E/CWB
•   Sufficient knowledge of World Vision’s LEAP tools and ability to train others
•   Good facilitation skills
•   Adequate hands on experience in the construction and review of multi-year log frames and LEAP budget templates
•   Strong analytical and report writing skills
•   Ability to work and contribute to team building environment especially in a matrix reporting system

Salary: GHS2,267.42 + Benefits
