Job Vacancy For Director: Administration At Mental Health Authority



The Mental Health Authority is a new Agency under the Ministry of Health created by an Act of Parliament, Mental Health Act 846, 2012. The Authority's mandate is to establish an integrated, culturally appropriate quality and accessible mental health care of world class standard.

Functions:

Working closely with the CEO and the Deputy CEO, the Director of Administration shall perform the following functions:

•   Have full administrative responsibility for the running of the Authority
•   Call for monthly statutory and emergency meetings of the Deputy Directors within his Directorate
•   Receive, review and send reports from the Deputy Directors
•   Advise the CEO on administrative issues in the Authority
•   Undertake an other responsibility assigned by the CEO

Qualification Required & Experience

The Director shall have the following:

•   A degree in Health Services Administration from a recognised University with fifteen years working experience in health sector
•   Should  have the  rank of Principal  Health Services Administrator
•   Additional post graduate qualification in Public Administration will be an advantage.
•   Adequate   knowledge   in   Mental   Health Services
•   Ability to serve at least four years before retirement
•   Adequate knowledge in the general health systems in Ghana
•   Advocacy skills in resource mobilisation for the Authority
