Job Vacancy For Director At Ghana Education Service (GES)
Generally responsible for the effective and efficient implementation of Government approved pre-tertiary educational policies and programmes at the Regional or National level of Education at the direction of the Director-General.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide technical advice to the Director-General on matters relating to pre-tertiary educational policies and programmes at the Regional or National levels of education.
• Lead and coordinate the implementation of pre-tertiary educational policies and programmes at the Regional or National levels of education. Lead the assessment of the implementation of pre-tertiary educational policies and programmes at the Regional or National levels of education. Lead the development of systems for monitoring and evaluation of policies and programmes at Regional or National levels of education.
• Exercise oversight responsibility for the efficient and effective management of human and financial resources of the GES at the Regional or National levels.
TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
• Be able to serve a minimum of three (3) years after first appointment before reaching the compulsory retirement age of 60 years.
• Salary and Conditions of Service, as laid down by the Ghana Education Service.
Qualification Required & Experience
• A minimum of a master's degree in Management, or related discipline from a recognized University
• A serving certified professional teacher in the Ghana Education Service.
• A Director II with a minimum of three (3) years substantive work experience in the rank.
• Have a satisfactory work history, proven performance and exemplary conduct.
