Ashesi University College, a world class university with an ultra-modern new campus at Berekuso, northwest of Accra on the Aburi - Akwapim range and approximately 60 minutes drive from Accra is looking for a skilled professional for the position of Director of Admissions.

Reporting to the Registrar, the position requires someone who is dynamic, ambitious and focused with an entrepreneurial spirit. A strong sense of ethics is vital to succeed in this position. The successful applicant will develop and implement an admissions strategy, working closing with leadership of the University.

Admissions Responsibilities

. Plan, direct and evaluate the admissions process and recommend appropriate directions or changes to policies and procedures
. Provide supervision and direction to the Admissions team.
. Work to ensure representation of diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds in Ashesi's student body through recruitment (local and foreign) and yield activities.
. Develop and maintain network networks to assist in the admissions process, especially student and alumni networks
. Administer Ashesi's Scholarship Program which includes reviewing all financial aid applications and recommend applicants for scholarship awards based on established criteria.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

. A minimum of a Master's degree in marketing or other relevant field from an internationally accredited institution.
. Minimum of five years (5) progressive experience in admissions or marketing role
. Strategic planning skills that translates into building of systems and initiatives
. Proven ability to develop budgets and manage departments in a fiscally responsible and pragmatic manner
. Knowledge and skills in communicating effectively using public relations practices
. Excellent interpersonal and people management skills

Preferred

. Knowledge of college educational philosophy and top management administrative practices and procedures
. Experience with the liberal arts method of education
. Ability to work effectively in a Multi-ethnic / Multi-cultural environment with students, faculty, staff and other stakeholders
