Job Vacancy For Director of Mission and Ministries At The Anglican Church
Job Description
1) The director of ministries shall be responsible for the overall management, planning, designing, implementation and monitoring of activities related to mission and ministry at the national level meant to enhance the growth of the Anglican Church.
2) His/her primary responsibilities shall include:
• Plan strategies for the implementation and monitoring of the Anglican Church of Ghana strategic plan activities related to the various ministries outlined in the strategic plan, such as youth, children, men, women, mission and evangelism, etc.
• Participate in developing the national church policy on mission and ministry
• Coordinate, implement and minister activities at all levels- national, diocesan, archdeaconry, institutional, etc
• Coordinate, fund-raise for activities that support mission and ministry.
• Develop strong relationships with dioceses
• Prepare and present work plans and implementation strategies on the department
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports to the General Director and partners
• Build partnership with other denominations and religions
• Do other jobs as and when the secretariat deems fit in the interest of the secretariat
Qualification Required & Experience
• Master's degree in theology, Christian Ministries, Biblical Studies, Mission studies or any related field with five (5) years working experience.
• Be a priest in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good leadership and strong interpersonal relationship skills.
• Should possess excellent knowledge and skills in ministry.
• Good organisational skills.
• Must have a solid understanding of the foundations of the Christian faith and the Anglican tradition'
• A person who generates new ideas and who values a team concept of ministry.
• Demonstrated ability to organize, plan, and carry out activities independently to meet deadlines
• Should possess excellent management, monitoring and evaluation skills
• Ability to recognize and analyse problems, and supervision develop solutions to them
• Age limit (40 years and above)
