Job Summary:
• The Director, Technical has strategic oversight of technical operations, including assaying, refining, minting, fabrication, hallmarking, gold tokenization, vault services, diamond operations, and licensing, regulations. Ensure high technical standards and compliance with international best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust technical policies, procedures, and operational frameworks to enhance efficiency, transparency, and security.
• Drive strategic technical planning, implementing technological advancements, and optimising resource allocation to achieve organisational goals.
• Direct and optimise all technical operations, establishing and maintaining high standards throughout the gold and diamond value chains.
• Ensure precision, quality, and adherence to international best practices and regulatory requirements across all technical processes.
• Oversee all technical licensing and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to standards and effective liaison with regulatory bodies.
Qualification Required & Experience
Skills and Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Mining Economics, Mineral Economics, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
• Must be a member of a Professional Body (e.g., Ghana Institute of Engineers).
• Minimum of twelve (12) years’ technical operations and licensing experience in a regulatory or mining environment, with at least five (5) years in a senior role.
• Extensive experience in technical operations within the precious metals or related industry.
• Strong understanding of assaying, refining, minting, fabrication, hallmarking, and vault services.
• Knowledge of gold tokenization and diamond operations is highly beneficial.
• Proven ability to develop and implement technical policies and procedures.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of international quality assurance standards and best practices.
• High ethical standards.
