PATH seeks an experienced Driver to provide transportation support to a new project in Ghana, implemented under the global MalariaCare partnership, a USAID - funded program available to support case management support to PMI focus and other countries.  MalariaCare aims to achieve universal diagnosis and appropriate case management for malaria by strengthening the capacity of malaria-affected countries at all levels of the health system to provide high-quality diagnostic and treatment services for malaria and other febrile illnesses. This position reports to the Project Administrator for MalariaCare, Ghana.

Job Description

Based in Accra, the Driver will be responsible for:

Transportation

•   Drive staff and other related people to project sites, workshops, meetings, and other events.
•   Maintain a Driver's Log Book and administrative requirements (registration, insurance, technical inspection).
•   Run office errands, such as document delivery, mailing, banking, customs clearance, bill payment, and procuring office supplies.

Vehicle Maintenance

•   Perform or schedule maintenance services and ensure that project vehicles are clean and in proper working order.
•   Follow up with vehicle maintenance regulations and licenses and make recommendations for necessary actions.
•   Ensure vehicles have adequate petrol at all times using the office account.

Required Skills

•   Fluency in spoken and written English.
•   Hold a relevant valid driving license.
•   Basic knowledge of mechanics and vehicle maintenance preferred.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of five (5) years of driving experience with a clean record.
•   Minimum senior high school certificate.

Candidates must have legal authorization to work and currently reside in Ghana.
