Applications are invited from suitable qualified persons for appointment as Coordinator of the Economic Policy Management Programme.

Based at the Department of Economics, University of Ghana, the EPM programme is a Master’s Degree programme which is sponsored by the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) and the Joint Japan / World Bank Graduate Scholarship Programme (JJ/WBGSP).

The Appointee will work under the supervision of the Head, Department of Economics.

Responsibilities

•   Co-ordinate all academic activities of the programme.
•   Ensure that the objectives of the programme are effectively achieved within the stipulated project duration.
•   Assist the Head of Department with academic matters relating to the Programme.
•   Identify and allocate Lecturers for each course according to the specific discipline as stipulated in the project document.
•   Prepare annual teaching plans by listing activities, persons responsible and dates for the activities.
•   Prepare course and examination timetable and assign classrooms for the lessons.
•   Execute the role of student adviser in academic matters.
•   Arrange and ensure that each candidate has adequate and timely supervision of Research Project.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   PhD holder with 3 years post qualification experience.
•   Tenure: Two (2) years renewable contact
