Camfed Ghana is seeking to recruit motivated and dynamic individuals to support its programmes.
Under the direction of the Programme Manager, the Programme Officer will assist in multiplying educational opportunities for girls and other vulnerable children by supporting the implementation of a strong education programme that fully addresses children's rights and needs and engages their communities.
Specific duties and responsibilities include:
• Keeping up-to-date records of all beneficiaries on the programme database, ensuring payments of fees and co-ordinating bursary packages and resources to students, liaising with tertiary institutions and supporting with admissions processes, organising enrichment activities for students, carrrying out regular monitoring visits to programme districts and institutions, supporting the development of donor proposals and reports, and any other duties as defined by the line manager.
Qualification Required & Experience
The successful candidates must have strong social and interpersonal skills, an eye for accuracy and detail, ability to use own initiatve and work unsupervised and the flexibility to travel.
• You must have a degree or equivalent in social studies, development studies or a relevant field, 5 years + experience in programme planning and implementation.
• Experience working with an international NGO and the ability to speak at least one northern language will be an advantage.
