Job Summary

As its subsidiary, Tullow Ghana Limited, continues to develop, the business is looking to enhance its cadre of senior professionals.

Roles and Responsibilities:

•  Assures risk management including assessments are performed in accordance with TGL Risk Management Process
•  Provide information on accidents/incidents in a timely manner according to established procedures
•  Oversee implementation of operational systems and procedure to include but not limited to: Permit to Work system, Lock-out/Tag-out System
•  Conducts safety induction for all visitors and new employees
•  Lead and/or participate in daily morning safety meetings
•  Monitor compliance against the monthly HSE schedule
•  Lead and/or participate in an Incident Investigation finding the root causes and taking remedial actions
•  Perform environmental audits to a ISO 14001 standard
•  Ensure that all work being performed on any TGL premises or areas of responsibility is done so in a safe manner in accordance TGLs procedures
•  Support and implement any Behavioral safety programmes in use by TGL
•  Perform in-house raining as and when required
•  Chair monthly safety meetings for all staff at TGL
•  Ensure all KPIs are met as defined by TGL management
•  Coach and mentor EHS Advisors

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Degree or equivalent in an Engineering or Earth Science discipline
•  Minimum of 15 years experience in upstream oil and gas industry
•  A formal qualification in EHS (minimum NEBOSH Gen cert)
•  Certified Auditor ISO9001, 14001 and 18001
•  Ability to work cross-functionally and with multi-disciplined teams
•  Flexible approach and able to work under pressure
