Job Vacancy For Electronic Technician At Graphic Communications Group Limited
The Company is looking for a dynamic and result oriented individual to maintain all types of electrical equipment within the company with particular focus on machinery key in newspaper production.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain service and repair the image setters used in the production of the newspapers to ensure highest quality outputs
• Maintain CTP and Avantra machinery to quality standards
• Maintain, repair, and calibrate machines and conduct diagnostics of problems to ensure resolution
• Assist other members of IT team in the maintenance and repair of electronic equipment as necessary
• Assist other IT staff in repairs/maintenance of computers/accessories
• Assist in network problem solution during peak hours of production mainly in the night
Skills/ Competencies Required
• Knowledge of circuit boards,processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including Windows 2003 server, Apple OSX, Windows XP and Windows 7
• Strong communication skills (written and Verbal)
• Keen eye for detail
• Flexible attitude to working arrangements
• Must be team player with a high sense of commitment and honesty
• Ability to work to strict deadlines with minimum supervision
• Proven ability to manage people and resources
• Strong computers literacy skills
Qualification Required & Experience
• Good first Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution with a minimum of 4 years relevant work experience; OR
• HND in Electrical or Electronic Engineering with a minimum 5 years relevant work experience
