Job Vacancy For Executive Direction of Construction and Project Management
One of Ghana's leading real estate companies that develops and builds middle income residential sub divisions/estates is currently developing a 1,600 unit (Single and Multi family) housing project and is looking for the following to help manage its construction process.
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
• Master’s Degree in Construction or Project Management. A PMP certification is a plus
• 15 years of experience in capital planning, resource allocation and project management, with an emphasis in residential home delivery
• Proven leadership skills managing a construction group
• Good decision making and problem solving skills
• Experience with budget planning, execution and control
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and construction processes. Strong focus/displine on process and methodologies
• Experience supervising multiple construction teams
• Proven ability to work with business units and understand business needs
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
Primary Duties
• Leadership responsibility for all aspects of the company’s construction process as well as its internal production facilities
• To manage construction projects from beginning to end resulting in successful and timely project completion
• Responsible for the implementation of the company’s five years construction plan and ensuring that housing units meet quality standards and are delivered on time.
• Provides technical direction and leadership to the construction team. Is responsible for providing ongoing status reports to senior management, and ensuring on time deliverables. Is responsible for driving projects to successful completion, resolving all project related issues and overcoming any roadblocks
• Directs technical resources who are responsible for scheduling and tracking various task during all phases of assigned projects inlcuding requirements, design, implementation and on-going support. Overseeing, managing and co-ordinating people, processes and activities to ensure efficient operations, assisting constuction managers in developing plans to organise and direct work activities
• Develop, negotiate, award and manage subcontractors
