Job Purpose

• To provide strategic leadership, technical and administrative direction for the achievement of the mandate of the commission

Duties and Responsibilities

• Initiate the formulation and implementation of policies of the commission
• Ensure effective coordination, monitoring and evaluation of the commission's programmes
• Advise the commission on all matters relating to law reform
• Exercise oversight responsibility for the effective and efficient management of the resources (Human, material and financial) of the commission
• Represent the commission at local and international levels on matters relating to law reform
• Collaborate and build relationships with government and other stakeholders
• Submit the annual and other periodic reports on the commission's activities
• Submit the annual budget to the commission for approval
• Ensure the implementation of performance management policy of the commission
• Serve as secretary to the Commission

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must have been called to the Ghana Bar
• A minimum of 12 years standing at the Bar
• A Master's Degree in relevant field

• Experience in research work in laws
• Ability to write reports on the development of laws
• Extensive knowledge of the law
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Extensive leadership, networking, monitoring and management skills
• Knowledge of relevant financial and labour laws and regulations
• Conflict management skills
• Excellent ICT skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Integrity, diplomacy and negotiation
